BLOG 5: CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

Hello, as many of you know, I am currently in my second year of dentistry, which is a very complete six-year career, and with a very extensive curriculum, so the demands are also great.

Being a health career demands several years of study and also long hours of independent work outside the classroom. The topics to be studied are extensive, overwhelming, difficult to understand and with a lexicon that one understands as one advances in the career, for this reason the first years are the most critical, in addition to being a very technical career or "do things at the time of the consultation" requires a lot of practice and manual dexterity.

If I had to change certain aspects of the infrastructure of the faculty, it would be to increase the number of auditoriums, as well as the number of tables for lunch/breakfast. One really important thing I would like to do is to increase the amount of study space. It would be great to have more green areas to brighten up the faculty environment.

Regarding the teaching method used to teach the classes, I think it is good because they are of quality and that is not questionable, they are rather classic so it is fine, however, it would be ideal to have more didactic classes at times, that prioritize the health of students and that rather than putting pressure on them, the motivation and desire to learn new things should be enhanced.
